chortle ... paradox and predestination ... it's more of a computer acting like a 5 year old. As I said its a blatant homage to an old RPG called Paranoia.

Yes, I recognised the colour-coded security clearances and "the computer is your friend".

Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- May

I'm just curious - if we wrote multiple 75 word stories and chose one, can we post the ones that didn't make the cut before the deadline? I'm talking about posting them in here, for entertainment purposes only - I realize I can have only one entry, and it doesn't add any insights to my original entry (completely different stories).

I just figure if we have extras to contribute, might as well enjoy reading them!

Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- May

I have seen them posted in blogs, but not in the discussion thread.
hello insomnia, more reviews coming up.

Azzagorn: kinda creepy, really well done atmosphere and natural feeling to the inner-monolog of your narrator. (I like blue too)

Anthus: I want one of these in my space ship

HairBrain: will that darn thing be any more solvable with multiple shades of grey? And if it works the way he wants it to… isn’t this just as much cheating as moving the stickers? *snicker* delightful read well visualized.

Nixie: certainly marks out the appearance of white as a redeemer, even if the respite it provides be only temporary. Interesting concept, delivered with the grace and beauty I have come to expect from your writing. Something to think about, delicately clothed in something simple to understand. Well done.

Nope, not before the deadline -- I believe the reasoning is to avoid any confusion that might occur when it comes time to vote. But you can post them all after the voting is done. That's when everybody gets to say, "oh, I would have voted for that one!"

I've met Jack Squat before but apparently this month I'm getting nicely acquainted. Whoever decided that color needed to be a genre...*sigh*

Never mind Karn, keep trying. I'm sure that sometime in the next couple of weeks, you'll -- oh wait, I mean sometime in the next twelve minutes.

Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- May

Yes, because I'm muleheaded.

It wasn't what I originally wanted, but it was how I was able to meld science, fantasy, and color together. And I'd imagine a heliotrope planet would be quite pretty.

I'm guessing totally transparent (and thus colourless). Quite appropriate, actually.

I wondered that about the 300 word challenge, as I had two written and couldn't decide.

Hope, thanks for the review!

Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- May

Wooee thanks Hopes, never consider beauty in grace in my efforts. The challenges to me are a bit of fun, I enter to make up numbers. Although I have to say I'm putting a lot more effort over the last few months since I've started getting votes and short listings.

We wouldn't allow other possible entries or more insight to the entries until the voting finishes.
