Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- May

I have managed to carve my entry below ninety words (at great cost to flow and comprehensibility, but I don't think many readers understand my stories, anyway).

Getting rid of another thirteen will probably render it total gibberish, but one does what one can.

Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- May

After a few weeks of being totally distracted I'm now back at work (so should have >ahem< a bit more time to casually look in on Chrons). Have a story in production, I thought it was far to long then counted the words and it cam in at 71 so a bit of jiggery pokery and I'll post and try and start catching up on things.

When I'm not working

Thanks Abernovo & Parson. An idea popped into my head and I posted it on the same night.

I hope you're doing better my friend.

Nice story Karn, I chuckled at the last line. Actually, kinda still chuckling over it. Not sure if that was your intent though. Like the new avatar pic too. Not story related obviously, but I'm curious where you got it.

My story should be coming in soon. I only read a couple of the entries so far, so as not to spoil what I've already written. I think I'm almost done with it.

I don't think I can reveal any insight until the end of the month.

As for the avatar, it's Alice from Madness Returns, the sequel to the game American McGee's Alice. She's in what's called Hysteria mode.

Well , I've posted. Tbh the topic this month of 'colours' made me think straight away of flags rather than red, green, blue etc.

That's part of the beauty of the challenge - it sends everyone a different way, you thought flags, and I saw only black.

Great entry BTW.

Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- May

Just looking in a very unscientific manner; 40 entries this month against 54 last month on the same date. I think it might be that capturing science fantasy as a genre in 75 words is pretty challenging? Or is it the colours? Or the tension of the 300 joint lead that's distracting us?

I thought marvins poem was a stand out.

Feel better soon, Karn.
