Pottermore finally makes it online...

After much hype, and some delay, JK Rowling's "Pottermore" site is finally up and running...

There must be a potterton of stuff on that site.

(Not that I'm suggesting a potboiler is in any way involved....)

I bought Goblet, Half Blood and Hallows for my kindle, the only ones I haven't read, great formatting too.

Thanks for the link. I just joined. I had heard of Pottermore a long time ago, but it's been a long time since I'd seen any information on it.

I'm not sure I've got the hang of this site quite yet, but I might take them up on the idea of reading the books concurrently.

I was really excited about this, but now I've been on it a couple of days I'm finding it's just, well, how do I put this....a bit rubbish. Why only one book, JK? One book that takes a day to complete? I'm not waiting 7 years for her to put the next ones up

Re: Pottermore finally makes it online...

When I first heard of Pottermore, I did a little girly squel and danced a little jig. I mean I grewup with the Potter books. And I've been waiting for further information on the series. I expected it to be like a PotterWiki page, but written by Rowling herself, with all the details of her inspiration for every name, character, animal, spell, place.

But having signed up yesterday I have to say.... I'm rather disapointed. It's like a childs version of a Facebook game, just click afew things and a bit of info pops up. And you can't skip to certain bits of the series, you haveto go through every book chapter by chapter.

OMG Pottermore is brilliant! Though there were some setbacks which I found kind of annoying like the fact only one book/film is actually up at the moment and the whole click mouse, find something, click mouse, info overload! Though it is very interesting I agree with Menion that it is like a childs facebook game :/
