Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- APRIL

It seems strange sitting here and looking at entries and knowing I'm not going to be writing comments on them... still Karn seems to have done a magnificent job so far.

As for the challenge itself - it's great, love the theme and the genre, but the first thing that sprang into my head is so cheeky I do not know whether have the guts to go with it or not.

Also I seem to have T S Eliots 'The Hollow Men' running through my mind at the moment.

I can't believe how quick off the mark some of you are. I got up this morning wondering what wonders Cul had in store for us and find 5 entries already!!!

Also like the new reference to the 300 hundred word comp, the 'triple cent'. Could we call this comp the 'triple quarter' comp?

No drugs or rock n' roll, though.

There was nothing wrong with it at all, Karn.

Oh I don't care I think I'm going to do it (then I can concentrate on 300 words).

Re: Discussion -- 75 Word Challenge -- APRIL

I think we just found the shortest story in history.

Amazing how one word has so much meaning to it - well really it was the title that gave it the meaning.

Thanks Perp.

No, no. No band. No rock n' roll.

P.S. I think the real reason Perp wrote that story was to make it hard for Karn to comment on it.

Yeah, I think I'll go with left to the reader. I just thought, what's the one promise that's likely to be kept in a post-apocolyptic world?

Perpetual Man: I think your entry is the closest to the truth. One very powerfull word! I tend to balk at the truth so I sidestepped the issue, posted thinking I was clever, then thirty seconds later wanted to take it back. Oh well, you don't try you don't learn.
Hello by the way, it's nice to be here!

That's a lovely story by StilLearning. (And if you are reading this, StilLearning, welcome to the Challenge!)

I have a sort of idea, but I doubt very much that I can fit it into 75 words.
