| Allow me to present myself, my Ladies and Gentlemen ..Of this exalted Age, before my creatures take the stage. For I am.. Geddon's Wall Apologies for pinching a bit from Clive James for the intro. I am A SFF fan of middling years (Ok nearly 60). As yoy can deduce from the handle, Legend by David Gemmell is one of my favourites. I still have the first SF book that was bought for me. I was 13 and a friend gave me a copy of ' The Explorers' a collection of short stories by the late and great Cyril Kornbluth. A journey through the 'golden age'(Asimov, Hienlien, Clarke, EE Smith) has finally brought me to Gemmell, Pratchett, Holt and Campbell. |

| Re: Allow me to present myself, my Ladies and Gentlemen For one horrible moment I got Clive James and Clive Anderson mixed up. Please forgive me and welcome. Love Geddon's Well is it somewhere in particular as it has such a delicious ring to it I'm feeling a desire to tell a story about it ? |

| Re: Allow me to present myself, my Ladies and Gentlemen Thanks for the welcome. Anya - was that a senior moment from a senior member? One of these days I WILL learn to type! and then I'll be dangerous. Geddon was, of course, the last Wall at Dros Delnoch - the wall of death. (cue another Clive James song). Among others I am currently reading Jack Campbell's Lost Fleet Series. I am also of the opinion that Disney should stick to doing Snow White and Bambi and leave SF to proper film makers. |

| Re: Allow me to present myself, my Ladies and Gentlemen Welcome, Wall that belongs to Geddon. I feel weird welcoming a wall. Well, what will work? - Welcome werewall? Is that a person that turns into a wall on the full moon? I confuse myself. It's not that hard too, though. |

| Mad Mountain Man | Re: Allow me to present myself, my Ladies and Gentlemen We had a good old natter about the Lost Fleet series over here Jack Campbell's Lost Fleet Watch out though as there are some spoilers knocking around in it as it goes on to talk about the follow on series (which I've not started into yet). |

Also Disney have bought Marvel Studios now to . . . which worries me no end to the future of comic/graphic novel adaptations! MArel IMO have been on a role recently once they took control of there own material, remake of Hulk, Iron Man etc. Apologies I digress . . Welcome welcome, I to am in awe of the "Legend" of Sir David and found my way here following his premature passing. | |
