| Yet another Greetings, salutations, and good something-or-others. I've been wandering around this site for quite some time now. I suppose it's as good a time as any to jump into the mix. I have a SF novel that I'm close to releasing into the pool of sharks, so I might as well stick my toes in the water and see how it feels. So, yes, yet another "Hey everyone! Hello!" (minus the overexhuberance) ![]() -Harrington |

I'm comfortable with doom. It's the overriding theme in virtually all of my storylines.

| resident pedantissimo | Re: Yet another Welcome in. The wild, over-enthusiastic exuberance is not excluded, you know. Not that I've ever excelled in that region; there were reasons I went by the name of "Droopy" for a while. Well, if you've been hanging around for a while I doubt whether I need enumerate the risks and pitfalls that abound, and it seems I don't need to herd you towards the writing challenges, so what else am I useful for? If you would deign to give us some indication of your tastes – apart from doom, obviously – any books, authors, series, films, directors, games or anything, that would aid in tailoring your downfall to you, individually, making the expirience as smooth and painless as possible. Always assuming, of course, that before deciding to write you did the essential research, and read. Yes, well, you've editing to do, and there's a lot of this site to explore; I'll let you get on with it. Enjoy. |

I prefer emotionally charged, mind-bending drama to virtually all other forms of literature/theatre/cinema. This rarely appears, to the degree that I would prefer, in SF/Fantasy. I find a rare gem from time to time. I like things that stir the senses and leave people questioning, as opposed to blatantly ramping up adrenaline or simply tugging at the heart strings. Much like my website states, I like to cram as many forms of art as possible into one piece. Granted, this can be tricky. I'm up for it. I'll take the slings and arrows. Using SF/Fantasy as my backdrop is a decision made by my love for the genres. Spreading the edges of SF/Fantasy out until they're barely visable is my charge. I can't say that I have any "favorite" authors/movies/games, though I have become a fan of the modern forms of media. I've been gaming for years and I find the quality of storytelling lackluster. I've been watching movies for years, yet I'm not sure that there's one that stands out. I've been reading all sorts of things for the better part of my life, though I can't recall any one in particular moving me the way that I'd consider 'must read'. So, now that I've sufficiently painted myself into an arrogant, self-centered corner,..... (Oh, and I love mystery and intrigue )

I'm not fond of kicking animals of any sort but ESPECIALLY cats. Love cats. Grew up a dog person, graduated to cat.

| Re: Yet another Understandable, yet I'd be interested to know the definition of "repeatedly" and "constructive". Based on what I'd read, I was well beyond the parameters. Either way, it's not up to me to decide, clearly. I'd just gotten word that the Kindle version was available. My apologies. |
