Re: my hobby is....

I've always wanted to have a pet lizard of some form. They look so amazing.

I don't really have any interesting hobbies, mine are writing and gaming. I do make crazy, crazy creations in Minecraft. Minecraft Gallery. But that doesn't really count.

Does an unhealthy addiction to the chronicles forums count?

If you do get one, WP, an Australian Bearded Dragon is what to go for. They're very easy to take care of and, I believe, more tolerant of human interaction than other species.

Collecting comic books, writing books, convincing people to buy my books, and collecting classy beer mugs and glasses from around Europe even though I don't really drink. Video games, too.

We have a female and she's very easy to take care of. What we feed her on is kale, broken or chopped up into semi-fine pieces, and fresh grated carrot on top of that. For protein we feed her on crickets.

They're a desert species, so they like temperatures best around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, I believe it is, and they're able to absorb moisture through their skin so it's a good idea to keep a small squirt bottle with water.

Re: my hobby is....

The coolest thing about the Dragon's Beard isn't visible in that picture. As a defensive/aggressive posture, the chin inflates and turns black. It looks quite fierce, in an Edward Teach sort of fashion.

He's seldom so agitated, and indeed, has a remarkably engaging and mild temperament.

The other cool thing about "Pufffy," this particular dragon, is that he appears to be immortal. Life expectancy for a pet Bearded dragon is about 8-10 years. Puffy is well over 14 years of age.

He attributes his longevity to the eschewing of vegetables (unless they accidentally get between his mouth and some live food), an irregular diet of large mealworms, and Kaffee Klatsches with other Great Old Ones.

Go Pufffy then!

I had to look again at the picture to realise Pufffy was a bearded dragon, just like we had been talking about. And here I saw saying, "yeah I've seen pics of bearded dragons"... Was staring at one.

So want one!

I used to have hobbies - calligraphy, embroidery, gardening - but nowadays I have no time for them, as I have to write novels for my Robot Overlords
