Hello!

Hello!

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

I've been lurking on the forums for like, forever and thought it best to actully register as all the info here has been pure gold.

I'm currently in the process of finishing my final draft of a MS (only got the last few chapters to edit) before I begin the long slog of getting (or attempting to get) it published - yes, I'm one of those! So I'll probably be spending all my time in the writers forum.

I really want to say that the information here is invaluable - so many posts and so many helpful people! It's been a joy to lurk and hopefully be even more fun to start joining in. I've had so many of my questions answered here, so I really want to start giving a little back.

Great to be here finally and I'm sure I'll see you all around someplace!

Peace

Jx

Re: Hello!

Welcome to the Chrons, Mr Turtle. Don't spend ALL you time in the Aspiring Writers forum. You'll never get your MS finished. So, what kind of fiction do you write?

Re: Hello!

Hi Mr T

Obvious though it should be, it's quite strange to be reminded that one's posts are being read by hundreds of people of whose existence one knows nothing. Anyway, congrats on removing your cloak of invisibility. Hope you (continue to) enjoy it here.

Re: Hello!

Why hello Mr Turtle! It sure is good to see you emerge from the pond weed and poke your head out of your shell and join us here at our picnic! I did think I had seen you skulking through the reeds more than once and it made me sad that you did not want to come out and join in the party. I am so glad you have chosen to do so now, Mr Turtle!

Oh me? I seem a little bit crazy, yes I do, that I know. You know, THINGS will do that to you. THINGS. You know. Well you probably know, and if you don't know, you don't want to know, so I won't tell you, Mr Turtle.

I am sure while you have been out there watching you will have seen that I write some strange introductions. Oh yes, I do. I do indeed. So I hope, Mr Turtle, you understand that this is just another one of those! What can I say, your name, yes your name indeed, just sent me off down a lane of imagining that ended here at this dearest little pond with all the Chronites gathered around a table of delectable delights waiting to welcome you!

So welcome, Mr Turtle, welcome!

Re: Hello!

Best welcome I've ever had on a forum. Ever! Absolutely brilliant!

The book is called "Blood On The Wings Of Angels" - I believe it can be best categorised as

"A Modern Apocalyptic Fantasy Novel involving angels, demons, vampires, werewolves, God and the devil"

Its funny, I'm a MASSIVE Sci-fi fan - books, film tv, but when I write, its all swords and shields and magic stuff - can't quite get into writing all the sciencey stuff. Yet I can't stand fantasy films (exception of course being LOTR - Peter Jackson is a GOD!)

But yeah, thats what I'm writing at the mo, going to have a go at a couple of SS comps this year. I've found myself in the unfortunate position of being unemployed (joining the other 3.3 million) so I have a lot of time on my hands between trawling the interweb for jobs people will never employ me for. So hopefully I'll try my hand at some other sub genres and what have you, I may even enter a couple of the comps on here!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys,

Peace

Jx

P.S TomG - I'm calling the men in white coats, they'll be around shortly.....

*takes hat off* no wait i'm a girl *puts hat back on*

welcome welcome. always nice when a lurker comes out, takes the stalkyness out of the interwebs and takes the pressure off to explain one's eccentricities (spell check tells me there is an extra syllable in that word I never pronounced before, huh).
intriguing idea for a story, pm me when it comes out it sounds like something I will want to add to my growing book list.

Thank you,

I can assure you that when, and I say when, not if the book is published everyone who has ever heard the word Sc-fi or Fantasy will know of this books coming - I shall make certain of that!

Thanks again for the welcome guys, really good to be here!

Peace
