Re: The new Dr who

It sounds like it's rather fun being Dr Who- I couldn't mind living on and on till the ends of time. At some stage I hope to be able to see Dr Who (I've only seen the 1st episode). I may even be free this saturday to watch it, yay!

I enjoyed those when I had chance to see them. Recently my brother brought DVD's of the new Battlestar Galactica and I've been watching those.

Have fun

Can I just say it's Daleks without an 'r' and the fact that the cybermen are classed as the Doctor's 2nd biggest foe after the daleks kinda says that they are the best.
Anyway the paradox was created because the dad wasn't dead, it doesn't matter how he died as long as he ended up dead. Without being killed by the reapers.

Re: The new Dr who

Just thought I'd enter myself into this conversation...

Currently the Doctor is 900 years old and funny enough this incarnation of the Doctor is the ninth Doctor.

Different from the older series in this new one the Doctor's homeworld has been destroyed, currently the blame seems to be with the Doctor...I took this from what he said in the episode "Dalek" (note that what I say below is from memory and not accurate)

Doctor: The Daleks are dead, all gone!
Dalek: You lie!
Doctor: No I don't. I saw it happen, I MADE it happen. Ten million ships, the great Dalek fleet gone
Dalek: You destroyed us!
Doctor: I had no choice
Dalek: And what of the Time Lords?
Doctor: Dead as well. The last great time war, everyone lost

He is now the last of the Time Lords, roaming the space and time at whim...going slightly insane I might add. He didn't intend to survive the destruction of his people so he is wracked with guilt. Since every episode mentions the Time War and this Bad Wolf thing, I'm sure its building to something...maybe even a second time war.

Apparently there will be no Cybermen in the new series from what I've heard, haven't got a link to anywhere to confirm this so take it with a pinch of salt.

Oh yeah and David Tennant will be the tenth Doctor.

Re: The new Dr who

Glad I can help, I wasn't much of a fan of the older series but whenever I watch or read something enjoyable I get really into it.

Oh and I think the new series of Battlestar Galactica is great, I'm just not happy that the Americans get the second season before those of us here in the UK. Guess it doesn't matter really...

I've always loved Dr Who... I cut my teeth watching Patrick Troughton in his big fur coat and penny-whistle...

The Yetis, the cybermen... Eeek!!! Hiding behind the cushions on a Saturday night...

Now I get to watch my son be scared of the Daleks... Oh the rapture!!! "daddy, I don't like it, it's scary!!!" And a new generation of Whovians is born!!

If my sources are correct the Daleks are being 're-designed' into a new form, more scary apparantly say the BBC . I still don't think the thing killed itself in that blue ball, it probably sent itself back home after getting Rose's DNA sample and now they can become even more powerful. (Just a promising thought).

I've been looking out for the Bad Wolf references in each episode and so far it's in EVERY episode. Last week it was on a poster. The week before that it was the name of a TV channel. There's an episode called 'Bad Wolf' so that should answer those questions, hopefully.
I like the new Doctor Who, I liked all of the Doctor Who series', they're great fun to watch

Bring back the Cybermen I say!

Re: The new Dr who

He is to be the new Doctor Funny A actor playing a Doctor then going to act as The Doctor?

Any way if the darleks come back it would be great. But they would have to have a new leader.

I guess they could make it that the new darleks came from an alternate reality were they were not killed and are still at war with the time lords.

Thus reviving the ways of Dr who and bring it all back leaving endless possible not having to resort to giving cyber men emotions next.
