Game of Thrones - Season 2

I'm quite surprised that nobodies has been talking about the season 2 even though the next season is going to start at next month. And I would like to get from you feelings of what the next season is going to hold in it. Especially on the thoughts of the which Kings we are going to see?

What can I say from the last season is that I am really curious to know of what lies at beyond the Wall, because that was the last scene that we saw. Any thoughts on that? Are we going to see Mammuths, and the big hairy spiders that the Nanny was talking about at the bedside?

And without having to read the books, all I can say about the dragon story is that, what they have at the other-side of the sea is far more dangerous than the hoard of barbarians, the last king - before the bastard boy - was summoning at the Hand.

Re: Game of Thrones - Season 2

The troubles is that quite a lot of us have a reasonably good idea what's coming, because we've read the books and have been to sites where deviations from the original have been, and are being, discussed.

The last thing we want to do is spoil it for those who haven't done either of those things. But if those talking out of necessary ignorance (because they'd rather watch the TV version than read the books) want to discuss it, here's obviously the place to do it.

(As for myself, I've read the books and read the speculation about the deviations from the second book, but I've not yet seen Season One of the TV series. And the DVDs and Blu Rays aren't due out until, I believe, early March. )

That's okay. (It isn't as though I don't know what happened during the season.)

Re: Game of Thrones - Season 2

New season isn't going to start until April this time around.HBO always releases the last season on dvd a month before the new season starts.Besides in the teaser trailer for it,it says April 2012.
I can't wait for it to start.

I'll be interested to see how they manage the increasing number and scale of combats. It will certainly be a challenge for the actors and their CGI department; plus its something they really can't avoid - big fights are a part of the world and they only get bigger and harder as they go on

Re: Game of Thrones - Season 2

Thanks for the photos! I'm a bit disappointed with Stannis - the actor is not at all how I imagined him - but they can't please everyone, I suppose. And I was worried about Brienne - the character is supposed to be basically the ugliest woman ever, but the actress is not at all unattractive. But they've made her up alright.

Re: Game of Thrones - Season 2

At first glance, I didn't recognise Brienne, not because I thought the character was too good looking, but I didn't notice she was a she.

In fact, I did wonder whether the actor was a young (male) relative of the actor Mark Williams (from The Fast Show, and Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films).

The lighting in that image also helps give the impression of a male character: it looks as if she has a blond(e) twelve o'clock shadow.

Haha. Well she does seem to have stolen his face.
