| This world is not my home | Re: Discussion - December 2011 - 75 Word Challenge Thanks for the mention Boneman. You are obviously a man of uncommonly good sense. Now, if you would just change your vote.![]() ![]() Seriously, you made a good choice. I don't think Harebrain has ever written anything I didn't like. |

| Comment Giver | Re: Discussion - December 2011 - 75 Word Challenge Wandering back in after a long slow Christmas. I hope that everyone had a good time, and if you ate half as much as me it was still too much ![]() Many thanks for them mentions/short-listings etc to Mith, Alchemist, Boneman and TDZ. And a very special thanks to Grizzgreen711 for the vote, I am honoured. I managed to narrow my list down to three so my special mentions go to Mith, Cul and TJ. It's a really hard call - I already lost all my fingernails whittling it down to these three - but ultimately I went with TJ. |

| Re: Discussion - December 2011 - 75 Word Challenge Just catching up on the stories and voting after the run up to Xmas and playing Skyrim for the last two days - nowhere near finishing that yet as there are stilol vast tracts to explore. Anyway, first of all, many thanks to the short listing from harebrain as well as the very short listing of Mith, Boneman and TDZ. Very humbling. And now my short list - wow! That was really difficult to cut any story out but I eventually managed to whittle it down to:- Reiver33, Harebrain, Mith, High Eight, Nixie, Aun Doorback, Abernovo, Culhwch, Boneman, TDZ, Tereas Edgerton and the Judge (hmmm... not too short after all!) My very short list from these few are:- Harebrain Mith Culhwch Boneman Teresa Edgerton the Judge But I give the nod to Culhwch... Well done! |

| Re: Discussion - December 2011 - 75 Word Challenge My vote went to Harebrain, great imagery with so few words. and a couple of mentions; mosaix - for pop and silence hopewrites - pretty sure I'd be a fan of steampunk ska Aun Doorback - I laughed and then wondered how many real inventions/ discoveries shared a similar fate. and High Eight, the 'just missed out on my vote' story. After not recognising the name in the story last night I spent a good hour reading about Isambard Brunel, so thanks for that . |

| Re: Discussion - December 2011 - 75 Word Challenge Warmest thanks Dusty and Highlander, for the shortlisting. Hope you both had a white christmas - it was cloudy here and 11 degrees, didn't feel seasonal at all! |

| Lagomorphing | Re: Discussion - December 2011 - 75 Word Challenge I see Chrispy is late in posting his "who's late in voting" list. We must still have at least 14 entrants who haven't voted yet, with less than twelve hours left. THE TENSION!!!!!! I CAN'T STANDS IT!!!! (Sorry) |

| Goblin Princess | Re: Discussion - December 2011 - 75 Word Challenge As usual, my short list wasn't short at all, and it included all the leaders and all the usual suspects (people I've voted for or short-short-listed often in the past). However, more than half the names on my shorter list were relative newcomers to the site. springs1971 Phoenixthe writer Abernova hopewrites AMB Culhwch TDZ Perpetual Man In the end, my vote went to Perp. The last line of his story was the deciding factor in what otherwise would have been a very difficult decision. |
