Spell Checker Some days ago spell checking of my posts stopped working. I've had his problem in the past and fixed it. I can't remember whether it's a function of my browser (Firefox) or Chrons. I can't find an option for spell checking on either of them. Any ideas?

| Direwolf of the chrons | Re: Spell Checker Far as I know spellchekers in forums are all part of your browser and not part of the forum itself. Most times its case of right clicking in the text window and ticking the check spelling box. Sometimes you might have to look through the open up submenus to see if its listed there. If its the first time you use it chances are you'll have to download it as an addon - this being the case you might well have to browse the file - edit - view etc.. menus up on the topbar of your browser to get to the download option . |

Re: Spell Checker Maybe that's part of my problem, U.M. I've recently given upon Google (too commercialised) and removed the tool bar. I've searched around on Mozilla and found that some people have lost spell checking after upgrading Firefox from 7.0 to 8.0 which is what I have done. Suggestion is to install a new dictionary etc. Done that but it's still the same. In the meantime apologies to all for the poor quality of my spelling - it's always been awful. P.S. I found the spell check option in Firefox - it's turned on.

Re: Spell Checker Well for some reason that I can't fathom, spell checking is working on my desktop (this machine) but not on the machine I started this thread on (my laptop). ![]() Both have identical settings in Firefox tools and both are on the same release - 8.0.1

Re: Spell Checker Okay, problem resolved. Today Firefox was automatically upgraded to 9.0.1, during the installation process I was asked if I wanted to include previous add-ons. One was 'English (British) Dictionary'. I ticked the box and spell checker is now working. I'm sure I did the same during previous upgrades - but who knows? Anyway, expect an immediate improvement in my spelling.
