| Oxman I wasn't really sure where to put this message, but I just wanted to let everyone know that sadly, Oxman has passed away. He died on 29.10.11, after an illness which he bravely battled for two and a half years. I know he has posted here from time to time over the past few years, and found the boards entertaining and inspirational. He had been an aspiring writer for a while, and though he never acheived his goal of getting anything published, he continued to write in his spare time just for the love of it, and I have enjoyed reading his efforts over the years. He was always full of enthusiasm and never short on ideas. Goodbye my friend, I will miss you greatly. |

| Re: Oxman Sad news. I have many Internet friends whom I've never met in person and have no other way of contacting. At one friend's suggestion, we've given lists of addresses to a family member to "notify these people if I fall off the planet." Stay safe, everyone. |

| Dehhh de de deh | Re: Oxman I'm very sorry to hear this. Many months ago, he'd hinted at being unwell. Mosaix (I think) drew attention to it so I PMed Oxman. He told me he had been unwell but was hopeful for a new treatment. Alas, it mustn't have worked too well. I know he'd posted pics of his family up, and I'll be thinking of them. If it's of any use, Dryad, pass on my condolences to his family. |

| Truth. Order. Moderation. | Re: Oxman Thank you for telling us, Dryad. I recall Oxman saying that he'd been very unwell, and I think at one point he said in so many words that he wouldn't be posting a great deal more. I enjoyed reading his work, not least in the Writing Challenges, and I hope that seeing it here on Chrons was some small consolation to him for not being published in the real world. Please do pass on my condolences to his family and friends. |

| Keep Moving Forward! | Re: Oxman I can't add much more to that. Oxman was one of those quiet members who went about these forums without drawing a lot of attention to himself, but always posting thoughtfully, and his input was always greatly appreciated. My condolences to his friends and family. |

| Re: Oxman So sad to hear this news. Even earlier this year, when he must have been going through it, he posted an encouraging message to another member of the Chrons, whose wife had cancer. I'll remember Oxman as gentle and humourous, and a good writer. RIP |

| Re: Oxman Not been able to spend much time here the past few days, so I just came across this. Consequently, I am a bit stunned, actually, not having been aware of his problems, and saddened at his passing. My thoughts to his family and friends; may they all be well... and as others around here have said, he will be missed.... |
