While it may be episode 5, you have to remember that this has all taken place over the course of only 2 or 3 days...it may just seem longer because we have to wait in between each epsiode.

Viewing figures for the Season 2 premiere will be based on the quality of the first season. My comment was not in regard to viewing figures numbers but numerous remarks on other forums that those who loved S1 are starting to give up on S2.

Thats silly because S1 writers got fired and S2 are getting more fan acclaim, better critics acclaim.
The numbers show the clear fact that S2 is found to be more interesting to more new viewers.

S1 was weak to many tv only fans. Numerous remarks of few fans who doesnt like S2 means there are as much other who like it.

Tv fans almost rate this season too highly.

Re: 2.04: The Walking Dead - The Cherokee Rose

Just got to see this episode.
I did like how Daryl told the Rose story, I mean how touching and not what you would of expected from this character..... Wonder if he's sweet on Carol!

Spoilers ........

Looks like Lori is preggies and whats the betting its Shane's. In some ways I am disappointed in this because its so like a soap opera storyline and how the hell are they going to fit in a baby in this show!!!!!

I think Andrea is drawn to Shane, and I think Shane is looking for sympathy for his crime. Perhaps trying to justify it to himself. His speech at Otis' funeral made me cringe, surely they must see through him!

I would agree the plot has slowed a bit, but Im sure things will heat up again soon. Some secret is going on with Hershal and his group, they are hiding something. When that comes to the fore, it will heat things up again

Hhhrrrmmm... <grumble></grumble> I loved this episode, and it's one of my favourites just for the reason, that they showed a grizzly man having love in his chest.

Argh. After missing the first half of the previous episode I missed the entirety of this one.

Just scanning this thread it sounds like not much actually happened (a service for Otis and Carl gets a bit better).

Well, you miss quite a lot of narrative, starting from Shane uttering lies in Otis funeral and Dale giving him a funny look as if he's knowing what actually happened. Lori send Glenn with Maggie to get her some lady supplies from the near by town. Meanwhile Dale and T-Dog goes to scout one of the farm wells and find awesome floater in the hole, and it's really worth to check how gruesome it's ending become. At the town, Glenn and Maggie has some survival sex, while Daryl scouts the surroundings and find out that Sophie might have been hiding in an abandoned house. He also brings back a Cherokee Rose to Carol and tells her a story about how those flowers grew up in places where natives had lost their sons and daughters. At the end Lori pees on a pregnancy test and finds out that it turns positive.

Trust me. It's a really good episode even if it wasn't full of walkers.

Thanks for the summary

I'll try and remember to actually watch the next episode from start to finish.

Does anyone know why Shane wears a necklace with the number 22

Just wondering, seemed a strange thing for a guy to wear

I don't think I even noticed and it hasn't been explained so far. But I really enjoyed seeing his transference from police clothing to farm overalls. He looks so uncomfortable in them.

I think Andrea is drawn to Daryl. And I'm liking Daryl more now he showed his softer side. I was thinking he was just a house-trained Meryl, but he is so much more than that. I agree with all the other comments about him. Easily the best character and performance.

No, but it must have been shown for a reason.

Something I noticed from the start was that Rick still put on his uniform and badge and wore his hat, while Shane had already long dispensed with that. However, people look to Rick, not because of his badge, but because he is Rick. Lori asked him if he was putting it away, but he can't put away who he is. He knows that because it was a part of his little proposal to Herschel that they stay.

Well, obviously it is Shane's baby. The clock is ticking down now to the big expose.
