The pyromancer (Hallen?) sounded as if he just had a Betty White orgasm.

The Hound was great. The scene with him and Bronn was as well. I would love to see that fight. Tyrion was great. Cersei was amazing. Sansa was terrific. The whole damn episode was just off the charts great.
So well put. Id also like to add Tyrions squire (Podric?) Minor charecter and yet i was so excited to see him and to see him have Tyrions back when his face got sliced.

To say the least i also just loved the focus. So many of this seasons charachters all in the same spot made it so as veiwers (and non readers) the focus on the battled of kings landing and nothing else. Soo good!!. Next week i expect to be split between jon and dany

Article about Season Three casting here:

http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/05/29/ga...season-3-cast/

Apparently the Reeds are in! As are the Queen of the Thorns and Stannis's daughter Shireen. I was fairly certain that these characters were going to be cut, with the way the plotlines are being portrayed on TV.

About the Blackwater episode, I was completely enthralled. It's the best TV I've seen in years! Tyrion's face when the wildfire blew up was a picture, capturing a mixture of awe and horror. This episode deserves to win every TV gong that's out there. It was fantastic.

Re: A thought about Game of Thrones on TV

Well the season finale certainly left me wanting more.
Valor Morgulis(spelling) indeed. The new face seems less comely to me but I will let the ladies here make that call as I am not much of a judge in this regard.

I loved the scene in the tower with the warlock, why would he think if Dany and the dragons had brought back his magic that his would be stronger than hers? Damn fool.

Tyrion continues to be awesome.

Joffrey shows even more what a jerk he is as does Cersei and I had to smile at what is coming for both of them.

Re: A thought about Game of Thrones on TV

WARNING SPOILERS!

I am in agreement with Timba in that I can't wait to watch Joffrey choke to death at his own wedding. I want to choke him myself, the way Stannis did Mel. (which I thoroughly enjoyed)

I also quite enjoyed watching that Warlock burn, even if they did change so many things from the books in this scene (and I don't mean the prophecies)

can anybody tell me where Ghost is?

Re: A thought about Game of Thrones on TV

Timba, well I don't presume to speak for all women, but for myself, Jaqen's new face was a big disappointment! Jaqen has been excellent all season, and I'm sorry we didn't see more of him.

I was actually a little bit disappointed with the House of the Undying scene. I knew it wasn't going to be like in the books, but I'd hoped for a few tidbits that we could pick over and analyse what they might herald for future events. It was nice to see Drogo again (cos he is fine!) but overall, I was hoping for more.

Poor Sansa. Her happiness in breaking free of Joffrey lasted about five seconds before Littlefinger was scaring her again. I rather enjoyed Joff and Margaery eyeing each other up. He was probably enjoying her cleavage and she was thinking "Try your bullyboy tactics on me, and you're toast". It'll be really interesting to see the dynamic between them next season, given how forward Margaery's character has been portrayed. There's no way she'll put up with any mistreatment.

Re: A thought about Game of Thrones on TV

AFFC SPOILER!

Mesanna, So the new Jaqen is not sexy. But we don't even know who or where he is in the books anymore. Is he impersonating Pate? That may be the most likely situation, but he could be anywhere. He may impersonate Jaime, Loras, or Aegon before the end for all we know. I think when HBO brings him back, he'll be easy on the eyes.

Speaking of Natalie Dormer's cleavage... let's not make mountains out of... well, hmmm.

Speaking of Margaery's mistreatment... she asked Renly to mistreat her.

Perhaps Margaery was actually asking to be miss-treated....

Re: A thought about Game of Thrones on TV

I am so on the fence about the season finale! After the Blackwater episode I feel a little let down.

Good things: Jon's part was pretty good, fighting Qhurin and seeing the horde of wildlings.

The Others at the end were pretty awesome!

Margerary is more fantastic by the moment! Joff was ready to do her right there!

Stannis choking Mel!!

Terrific and terrible at the same time: Tyrion and Shea. He too gets better all the time! Watching him cry- I wanted to jump through the screen and strangle Shea myself so he doesn't have too!! That (insert your own expletive here!!)

Shaggydog finally!! Too short!

House of the Undying- Dragons great, all 3 of them, finally!! The rest, not so much. Although I'm with Mesanna here, seeing Drogo's fine self again was a highlight!

Final thought: My non-reader watching partners were all saying "Damn I sure wish Arya had gone with Jaqen!!" Had me smiling all night!!

If by "do her right there" you mean "sadistic psychological and physical torture", then yes he was ready to do her.

They set a bad predence with Stannis and Mel. Just think about next season's ending, critics are going to scream bloody murder when you know who chokes you know who. The series will further labeled as mysoginistic.

And for the record, I'd like to say that I look a lot like Drogo... in bad light... okay, in the dark.

This probably belongs here as well as anywhere else. It's making the rounds on Facebook and I, for one, find it absolutely hilarious (in spite of a couple small flaws).

If it's the scene I think it is, won't that be towards the end of Season Four (given that ASoS seems to have been given two seasons)?

Re: A thought about Game of Thrones on TV

Anyone remember the Others from episode 1 season 1. I thought they looked far more menacing that with what we saw at end of this series. The CGI looked a bit off. It was still a cracking end.
