| Goblin Princess | Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3 You're right. This is not the time for either of us to be writing up lists or making decisions. Have you ever tried Zinc for a cold? It really works, if you start taking it at the first signs of a cold ... or it usually works. The last cold I had was resistant, but every other time it's been effective. In my case, I started taking the antihistamine for a rash and then developed the cold today on top of it. |

| Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3 Ok, no Benadryl in my bloodstream at the moment, so I managed to come up with a shortlist, a shorter list, and some *votes*. I had to leave out some stories I loved in the interest of not having a shortlist consisting of half the stories in the challenge -- literally half! That wasn't quite short enough to qualify as a shortlist, so some ruthless pruning ensued, and here are the results. Talysia -- Devotion The Spurring Platty -- One Dastardly Plan *Hex -- Picnic in a Graveyard* Highlander -- Birth *HoopyFrood -- Snake Eyes* *alchemist -- Cast a Cold Eye* Parson -- The Forgotten Angel Moonbat -- We are not A-mused Boneman -- Looking Back The Judge -- ...tears Teresa Edgerton -- Forever After mosaix -- When a Restraining Order Just Isn't Enough Boneman, if only I could have had one more vote, but alas! |

| Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3 Nixie, thank you so much for the vote! And TDZ for the more than shorter shortlisting mention... It just gets harder choosing every month, which shows what a great Challenge this is, as the standard and inventiveness just goes up and up. Great work everybody - there isn't a bad story in the whole lot. ![]() |

| Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3 Just back from my short break and noticed another "shorter" list mention by TDZ - Woo-Hoo! - really pleased at that. Always happy to get picked out even if not in the final three! Now gotta start reading them all so I can get the votes in... |

| Farmer Duck | Re: Discussion thread -- Three Hundred Word Writing Challenge #3 As always there were many excellent stories and it was very difficult to choose. Amongst others, I enjoyed stories by Springs1971, The Spurring Platty, paranoid marvin, and TDZ. But my votes went to... Harebrain Ashcroft Culhwch |
