May's Fantasy Suggestions April's book was an older one and therefore several members had difficulties finding a copy. Let's try and move to a newer title, perhaps some new author you'd like to discover or an exciting book you've heard about but haven't read yet. Make your suggestions. (reminder, one suggestion per member please!)

Re: May's Fantasy Suggestions Tales of Neveryon by Samuel R. Delany Another book I found in my dad's boxes. Haven't read anything else by this author but hes very talented and the cover says hes a four-time winner of the Nebula award. Extremely vivid and realistic, my only complaint is that its too short and I cant seem to find anything else by him.

Re: May's Fantasy Suggestions The Gift by Alison Croggon. This book is listed as The Naming on Amazon, I think it's been published under a different name for the UK market However, I was able to get a copy from my library.

Re: May's Fantasy Suggestions I would suggest The Death of the Necromancer, by Martha Wells. This is a fantasy novel and also a mystery, set in a parallel Europe in a city very similar to London, with roughly a nineteenth century level of technology. It follows a master thief on a quest to avenge his murdered godfather, and meanwhile a powerful dark wizard is plotting something (not clear what). I read the first half last year, and then I had to give my copy back to the library. Since then I've been looking for a good excuse to actually buy a copy of my own.
