Ser Robert Strong (ADWD Spoiler?)

Please forgive me if this has been asked or is too obvious of a question. I did a quick search of the forum and didn't notice anything too relevant.

I finished Dance a few days ago and had a question concerning Ser Robert Strong.

Are we supposed to know who this "man" is? I feel like it's something I should know but don't.

Is he Robert "reincarnated"?

No, not Robert, Gregor Clegane! Remember Qyburn took him to his dungeon (what a freak that guy is!)

Ah yes, Clegane. Thank you!

For some reason I thought Qyburn's Clegane experiment hadn't gone so well, or that he had abandoned it.

I think I'm in need of some re-reads.

I suspect that GRRM might, for the sake of shock value, and because it's not been posted anywhere else, use someone else who might be a surprise.

Someone else who is short a head...

Why not...

*drum roll*

Ned Stark?

From this point on though, anyone he uses will be a surprise to me, because it really could be anyone. Gregor, though, would be nicest, so the Hound can finally have his sweet cold revenge

Oh I hope it's Ned! I still miss him

Yes, it might be FrankenStark, but the general consensus is that it's Gregor (minus his head).

Whoever or, more accurately, whatever "Robert Strong" is comprised of, they will bear little resemblance to any proper human. If we thought the Mountain was inhuman before, this is bound to be so much worse.
