Jon/Varamyr warg thoughts I didn't see this posted but I admittedly didn't read all the threads. The question isn't weather or not he is dead, but whos body he is going to claim. We know wargs can do this via Varamyr in the prologue. What would be cool is if he claimed Arnolf Karstarks body, and paid a visit to the Boltons.

Re: Jon/Varamyr warg thoughts While I am still working on my Jon is not Jon theory, the question I have here is: Could not Jon go into Ghost long enough for Mel to heal him or even to bring his body back to life. It seems a perfect fit, he would not be taking over another person, which we know is possible but difficult and dangerous, it would also allow him to still be Jon not Un-Jon because who he is would be safe and whole within Ghost.

Re: Jon/Varamyr warg thoughts I don't see him claiming Ghosts body, he is too important to the story to be killed off (HAH, Going to eat these words!). His brothers stab him to the point they think they've killed him, they quickly run out and sound the cry blaming Wun Wun, and all hell breaks lose. I see the watch in shambles next book, because Jon was the only thing holding the wildings and the crows together. I expect Tormund takes over the wall (they outnumber the queen/nights watch easily) and holds it honorably, and Jon is restored eventually (though he has probably been spirited away by Mel as they are fighting). As Jag said, he'd go into Ghost - but as Imp said, not for long. I expect he'll be unconscious next book in a brandream/wolfdream for his first chapter, but not dead.
