Re: Who would think such a thing?

The only people off the top of my head that would care about saying good bye to any one or missing the chance to would be a female or a child..... the name does not sound familiar with some one one of the adult females would have encountered...and most of the child characters have not traveled that much... im going to guess Arya? both female and considered a child still (though for how much longer?) how ever im not sure @ what point im ganna go search out her chapters!

This time I don't have to use Tywin's rule. I'm almost 100% sure it's Tyrion thinking about Illyrio in the second Tyrion chapter of aDWD.

If not for the clue, I'd have guessed Jaime thinking of Boros. But with the clue, I'll guess Davos thinking of Lord Manderly.

Re: Who would think such a thing?

You're correct, Keebs. That quote reminded me of a scene on Friends. Now, I'm not a Friends fan. I've caught a few episodes from curiosity, but the one scene that I'll always remember was where the gang was sitting at their coffee house discussing relationships (of course, that's what they always seem to do) and someone made a comment about the physical aspect of lesbian relationships to which the wimpy guy, uh, that's all the guys, I mean the super wimpy guy, sorry, still too broad, okay... upon having a vision of lesbian sex placed in his brain, Chandler says, "Sometimes I wish I was a lesbian..... whoops! Did I just say that out loud?!?!"

TV has changed since I was a kid.

I suspect you're a bit too young to remember when Rob and Laura had to sleep in separate twin beds, with a night stand between the two beds, on the old Dick Van Dyke Show. TV has definitely changed

Re: Who would think such a thing?

I remember Rob and Laura in seperate beds. MTM from the DVD show is in my top five hottest women on TV. Tight sweaters and capri pants.... Seperate beds was the most unbelievable thing about that show!

Edit: Sorry, I got so excited at the mention of MTM that I missed that Keebs posted a new one... Tyrion.

this made me think of the movie Pleasantville and how as things slowly changed the town folk were in utter shock @ the store window display showing a large bed in place of twins
