| bringer of cake | Re: Crafters - My Other Obsession I've been working on improving my needle skills, and took a patchwork quilting course in May. The first finished project has just been given to my Mum for her Birthday. I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out: ![]() Mostly done by hand, it was a real joy to do. Now, both kids want one! I may not be around much for a while!! |

| 1 Candlepower Brain | Re: Crafters - My Other Obsession Respect to you ladies. I am a potter/artist by trade, and I guess the pottery bit counts as craft, though its not a hobby. But I do have an appreciation for handwork and I always raise three cheers for crafty people - huzzah! huzzah! huzzah! I always think what a shame it is that more people aren't doing stuff like this - it's so satisfying to make things with your own hands - it's a real pity our society has moved away from it. Part of what makes us human! |
