Skim-links: What's going on?
I was reading through this thread :-
Agents and the Kindle
All the references to the electronic book device are, or became, highlighted as a web link to a well known shopping site.
When you hover over the name of the device it puts up a note to the effect that a shopping link has been added by 'skim-links'.
I just wondered how they are able to do this.
I tend to trust links posted by site members (Obviously, I have Lot's wife looking over my shoulder at all times); mainly because of the strict policy against 'dodgy links'. However, this puts a new dimension on things.
Is this skim links thing legitimate?
I actually presume it is, in which case I'm happy. Anything that helps Brian maintain the site is fine by me.
