| Brian G. Turner | Doctor Who: Amy Pond's last season? Don't know if anyone saw this on the front end of the site the other day, but there's speculation that Amy and Rory will part ways with the doctor at the end of this season: http://www.sffchronicles.co.uk/2011/...-for-amy-pond/ |

| Comment Giver | Re: Doctor Who: Amy Pond's last season? I would not be surprised to see Amy and Rory go. After Steven Moffat said that one of the reasons that the season is split in two was a cliffhanger - a shock so big that it would be huge in it's own right, but adding a few months break would put it through the roof, and I did wonder whether it would be something revolving around one of the main characters - one going or dying or changing... |

| Goblin Princess | Re: Doctor Who: Amy Pond's last season? Ack! Got a virus warning for that article, Brian. So far no other problems with other parts of the site, so it might just be the front page or that particular article. If Amy is indeed pregnant -- and of course we don't know what is going on there -- then it would make sense that she and Rory wouldn't be back next season. Quite a shock for her family if she goes from showing no signs of pregnancy at her wedding to being hugely pregnant the next day! It would make an interesting finale. Or maybe she'll be going home with an infant in her arms. But the TARDIS is no place for raising a baby, racketing about in time and space. If she is pregnant. I think River Song works better as a bit of an enigma. I believe I would begin to find her tedious if she were his companion for very long. |
