We have a long thread here about SFF being too influenced by politics. Though Ernest Hemingway said that the parody was the last refuge of the frustrated writer, I think that parody makes more of a political point than a thousand liberal editorials ever could. |

I understand the intended analogy, but someone didn't understand Star Wars here—not that the movies are all that difficult to grasp. "environmental disaster on Alderaan" was funny. |
