Smile Thank you Brian!

I've felt lost without the Chrons!

Thank you for all your hard work to get this back up and running. I have no idea about such attacks, but I'm very glad you were able to deal with it, and get everything back again - and I'm sure I'm not alone!

Re: Thank you Brian!

No worries - would be nice to take a break soon but I figure on remaining vigilant. There are still a couple of last minute security tweaks to put in place, and then ensure all runs smoothly through the rest of the day.

Thank you indeed.

(although it did force me to do some writing I might not have otherwise done.)

Re: Thank you Brian!

Yes thanks, Brian. I actually had to go to another forum last night. It's a jungle out there.

Just logged on Brian and got the exploit attack which was blocked by AVG. I have the screen shot if that's a help?

I think you got this cleared by emptying your browser cache, as mentioned in the other thread?

Re: Thank you Brian!

I've tried clearing my cache and Avast is still picking up this threat on my end.

Re: Thank you Brian!

Try again - nothing being picked up by AVG, ut I found there was malicious code in the text editor we use which has now been cleaned out.

Re: Thank you Brian!

Yeah, things seem to be working out for now. Thanks, Brian. Always good to know Chrons is safe and friendly. It's deeply appreciated.

And I have to say again, am I ever glad for Avast, hehe. Though I'm utterly surprised those with Norton have managed to have it blocked as well...

Re: Thank you Brian!

Hehehe. I've used Norton a few times and have never had a good experience with it. I think my main issue with it is, if something does manage to get through, it won't remove the thing. Avast, AVG, McAfee, and such can remove or at least quarantine things well enough but Norton, well...

And I'd buy Brian a drink or two myself if I could. I've never understood computer coding and I never will. HTML confuses me enough and that's a fairly simple type.

Re: Thank you Brian!

I was using McAfee - it never mentioned any problems with chrons.

So am now using AVG instead.

Re: Thank you Brian!

I'm just saying McAfee could quarantine better than Norton has in my experience.

But out of what I've used, Avast is my favorite. AVG isn't bad but I've noticed that Avast seems to be a little better.

Re: Thank you Brian!

This all happened the day AFTER I installed Avast. I was convinced I must have set it up wrong and spent ages trying to get round the 'problem' before I saw the temporary take down notice.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Brian. Thanks Brian.
