Re: I think there might be a virus problem :(

I'm feeling a little left out. My Norton spotted nothing, my work PC (Sophos) spotted nothing, and a scan just removed cookies (just like my five year-old). Is my equipment so fantastic this malware won't touch it, or so ancient that it's embarrassed to approach me? (all Internet Explorer)

And the Pond link is fine for me too.

As an aside, the previous time I went to Home and returned, I had to click on the back button twice. (One click sufficed this time.) Before the alerts started appearing, I occasionally met this problem before, i.e. having to click twice on Back for it to work. It may be that what I was experiencing was a result of the first malicious changes being made, changes to facilitate the later, alert-prompting, attack. For instance, I don't recall having this problem on other sites I was visiting at the time. Or perhaps it was just a coincidence.
This bit of malware was inserting itself as an intermediate page, so one click to a new page but then two clicks to get back. You probably didn't see the hidden page as your virus protection will have surppressed it. I was originally getting the alert whenever I back paged and then had to back page again to get to the original. When I looked at the page history the "hidden" page was that lopolo page thing that my virus scanner wasn't allowing.

Brian: Just had this error when clicking on a Critiques shortcut from the todays post listings:-

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '>' in /home/sffchron/public_html/forum/forumdisplay.php on line 1055

I could get to critiques another way, so I don't think it's the database problem or my machine blocking access.

This was the source listing near the link at the time:-

Um- navigation v. difficult. I can get to individual posts (through "new posts", mainly) of forums general page, but in between levels give:- Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '>' in /home/sffchron/public_html/forum/forumdisplay.php on line 1055
