| Demon Accountant | The Walking Dead I have only read the first few issues, and thought they were pretty darned good. Then I watched the new TV series on AMC, and I fell in love with it. A question to people in the know: are the graphic novels worth the investment? Does the story get better, or does it start to run out of steam after a while (as most comic book series tend to do)? Any input is appreciated. |

Re: The Walking Dead I dont like zombie tv or films but TWD is a slow moving at first but its great when it gets going. Reading in GN collections was one of the best reading experiences i have had. TWD tv show doesnt even capture 10% of what makes the series great. Not because im a big fan but because how it is written, character wise.

Re: The Walking Dead I hadn't heard of TWD before TV show was released. After seeing last tv episode, I became so exited i got the comic series and spent whole weekend just reading it. It "consumed" me. Imo, it is much better than tv show and I do recomend it.

Re: The Walking Dead I got Volume 14 and it's still my favourite comic right now. TV show was only ok in my opinion. Not sure if I'll bother with season 2. I definately reccomend the comic though and that you buty in volumesnot issues.

Re: The Walking Dead My favorite comic ever, hands down. The compilations are cheap on Comicxology, if you are OK with electronic issues. I buy the series that way now, then get the yearly hardback for my collection.

Re: The Walking Dead I love the Walking Dead. I remember when my younger brother recorded the series for me and asked me to watch them. I watched the whole first season in two days. I was mesmerized. What a great show. Unbelievable. Rich Paz

Re: The Walking Dead I've just got hold of the first volume of The Walking Dead (i.e. the first 6 issues of the comic), and am really enjoying it, both for the story and the excellent artwork. What issue is it up to now? How much am I missing? :-)

Re: The Walking Dead Volume One TPB arrived yesterday so started it last night - much better than I expected and amazing to see how some of the characters actually look like the cast in the tv series!

Re: The Walking Dead I love zombie shows & films. I think the B-movie element is part of what I like so much. Decaying corpses rising from the grave? Well, I guess the bacteria are alive & well, though the person is dead; so, why not have them reanimate the corpses?
