Re: Serenity - Firefly Movie...

It's probably still a little bit too early.....but who else has Serenity on their mind??

October the 7th cannot come fast enough, I have a timetable made so I can watch all the Firefly episodes with "Objects In Space" due to be the last on Oct 6th (no, seriously!! )
The a spot of light re-reading of the comics and off to the Cinema on Friday night

Anyone else as mad as me?

Re: Serenity - Firefly Movie...

I'm most certainly as mad as you, but probably not over Firefly/Serenity. I'm mad over other silly things.

However, I am looking forward to seeing this one in the theater. I've been watching the episodes as they happen (in their new stint on the SciFi channel) so I will have seen the whole thing, in order, before the movie comes out.

The end of this year is looking good - I've got a highly anticipated book coming out in a week or so, Serenity in October and HP in November. Fun stuff!

Fan fest? Is that a movie showing or just a yak with the stars?

It seems just to be a yak with the stars since they mention that 'scenes from the upcoming movie will be seen'.

Re: Serenity - Firefly Movie...

According to an article I have just read Ross Whedan remarks that he likes putting ordinary people in extraordinary situations.
Another point made was that the characters speaking in dialog, make Whedon instantly recognisable. As with Buffy who says 'I'm in a cave, there are dead people walking around and that's weird for me to deal with'.
I was rather intrigued with this article, so I might actually go and watch it afterall.
