I agree, Anakin must revisit the loss of his arm again and again -- it's a poor replacement, it looks like C3PO's rather than the bionic arm Luke gets -- so that leads him to the Dark side (along with his anger over his mother's death, his lack of faith in the senate rather than a dictator, and his arrogance over his superior powers) -- and he cuts off Lukes arm on purpose, because he believes that it too, will bring him to the Dark side. |
