What's the best star wars game?

There have been so many games made of this trilogy, what's your favorite? Mine is probably rogue squadron.

Of the very limited number I've played, Knights of the Old Republic wins hands down.

I think TIE Fighter is generally recognised as a true classic, but I wouldn't know...

Might please you to know that they are bringing out an MMORPG based on Knights of the Old republic then. Not sure how it will compare to star wars galaxies though, that will take some beating.

Yeah, I've been following The Old Republic...but subscription-based MMOs are beyond my means, currently.

There are some really good ones out there, but I haven't seen too many really good light saber battle games, however this classic vidoe game is my favorite.

The Phantom Menace game was excellent. It developed characters and environments better than the movie did. If you ever wanted to have a shoot out with a badass gang of jawas, this is the game to get.

Super Empire Strike Back was also great, as was the original Battlefront.

Hard to beat the old-school PC games like X-Wing and TIE Fighter. I'm looking forward to The Old Republic.

There were a few that i really enjoyed. X-Wing vs Tie fighter, All of the Dark Forces games. (It's about time that they released a new one.)

I haven't played KOTOR, but i really want to. (It will not load on my new PC.)

Roque Squadron was a great game.

Dark Forces! How could I forget those! I had most of the 90s PC titles. Rebel Assault I and II were fairly ordinary, but most of the others were good value. Also loved the original trilogy games on the old Super Nintendo.

Currently on my PC I have Republic Commando, which is truly awful, and Empire at War, which in truth I've barely played. Oh, and KotOR, which I've also barely played. Should really try and get into it, it always comes highly recommended.

That really was a surprisingly awesome game! I got it for like $20 and was surprised at how fun and challenging it was.

I'd have to agree with Anakha though, Rogue Squadron probably tops my list. KotoR was really good (apart from the endless scenes on Taris) and I'm really looking forward to ToR.

There are many Star Wars games I like.
My favorites are probably:

- Knights of the Old Republic

- Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

- Battlefront II

KOTOR 1 & 2 are the best. The Force Unleashed is a lot of fun but the story sucks. Battlefront is fun to.

X-Wing alliance was a very cool game. I enjoyed the story and flying games really do it for me. I enjoyed flying around the super star destroyer and even though you never saw a person, even your character, it was great fun.

I have to agree with Huttman- Xwing Alliance all the way. Although KOTOR and its sequel were both excellent games, nothing beats the generated battles against multiple star destroyers and squadrons of tie-fighters.
