| Re: Google The time one of the guards answered the call and us 'short' with the person on the other end, who was trying to reach the NPD department, it turned out to be the CEO of M&S... not a good move. Better to be nice i think. ![]() Quote:

| Mostly Harmless | Re: Google iGoogle is a sort of electronic sideboard, but instead of ornaments and knick-knacks, there are widgets. I've got a calculator, a dictionary, Google Reader and a few others so I can get to the things I want easily. The Reader is for adding those orange buttons in the URL bar to so that, every time the site updates, i.e. when someone posts on the forum, a link appears in the widget. Now imagine a whole list of links to different sites... very handy. The orange button is an RSS button. Anyway, I liked it as it was and got annoyed when it was changed. Do you reckon it's my browser that's allowed these ads to come up? Edit: I use Google Docs for the PDFs because you don't have to worry about having the relevant software to read them, an issue that arose at college because of the restrictions on the computers there. It is handy, even though I moan about it a lot. Edit #2: It's because I'm using Hot Spot Shield. I can't think why I was getting the time-outs, though. |

| Re: Google One of the widgets on iGoogle is called "Poke the Penguin". Someone, EVERYONE!, please, PLEASE! try it. And, no, it's not something off color or anthing. (I get a lot of strange looks when I mention it in person.) |
