The whine of the massive flashguns grouped around the wall reaches a crescendo.

"You're about to find out." Photographs Hoopy, once again turning the place into a suburb of the sun. "I can do this all night."

*chucks the blindfold away and pops on some slick shades*

Ace - I think you ought to put up a sign for the photosensitive. And make it a big one!

Oh well, may as well try to get some meditating in. Siggy the trilogy, you're on guard.

*Sits in a (currently) dark corner with blindfold in place*

Comes in from the kitchen with two freshly-carved turnip lanterns and a plateful of raw turnip.

"Remember, Freda, we did it long before the Americans and we used turnips. Raw turnip is OK, but I think, 'Crocodile,' Dundee must've tried it cooked;

But it tastes like sh*t.

Freda has been busy, a black dress is draped over her abdomen and comes below all eight knees. Next to Tangle on her head is a conical witch's hat and a false nose sits precariously between her main eyes. "I still don't know how you managed to turn Tangle black."

"Fine, now be careful with the lantern once I put the candle in it and keep your carrier-bag safe.

Oh yes, and no tricking people. You're following the old Celtic tradition of guising, not the stupid new one of, 'Trick or treat.'

Well, I say stuff the ancient traditions and go with what gets you the most candy, Freda. And by the way, here's an early treat for our fine resident lady spider. *Pours all sorts of candies and chocolates and pringles into a bag for Freda* Now, no eating these until tonight, Freda. Anyone seen Fiddler, Juken, or Tempest? I have some chocolate for them as well. Not the stupid low-quality American, but the finest European chocolate I could lay my hands on. Swiss, Belgian, English, all sorts of fine treats. Cost me over a hundred euros an ounce, but worth it for those guys.

*Leaps up behind No One, where he's sitting blindfolded and peaceful in the corner* Ooga-booga-wooga!!

Freda bows to Karn but she's keeping an eye on the window, waiting for dark. Just then, Little Mary wanders in and sits by the fire.

*Sigh* "I suppose we can't expect the ghosts to stay away tonight."

[No One]

*While No continues meditating, Siggy Mk III steps up to Hoopy and leers at her. With consumate ease he picks her up and sets her down, gently, away from No...*

*...then gives her a little shove to put her on her backside*

*Siggy then returns to his post*

*Picks herself up and glares at the new Sig and mutters about stupid bodyguards*

*Looks down at her hand, and then smiles* Oh, Sig, did you ever hear of how your predecessor kicked the bucket?

*A deep growl rumbles in Siggy's throat and he steps forward, well within arm's reach of Hoopy.*

*He glares down at her, then gives her another tiny shove, the weight of which is still enough to put her down on her backside again.*
