Now, now. The month moves ever on, and the darkness grows, the death of the year, when the world's fabric grows thin and things come out to play...

It's gonna happen, so you might as well just recline in some moss and not get all het up. And once October's done, the portal will be nice and open for a loooong time. We've had our fun, time to give the Things a chance to play out here.

*Boney arms reach and grab at Slow's sword, and snag his robes*

Possibly a little less violent than the previous visit, but still as radiant as a blue giant star at a million miles or so and that is bright!

The moss near the apparition starts photosynthesising, going green, and young. As plants will, more clumps notice the rejuvenation effect, and move to bask in the radiance, putting up tiny flowers or spore carriers. It's not exactly spring – despite all the photons, the temperature hasn't risen by a tenth of a degree– but it's no longer gloomy.

Gah, this damn LIGHT. It should be dying! *Squints behind her thick sunglasses, and grabs handfuls of the flowering plants, scattering them, withering, browning remains as they leave her hands*

Smashing, couple of days of this and i'll be back to my old self.

Stoopid divine light doesn't seem to be working for me...

*Wanders back in with the vampire dragon unconscious hanging over his shoulder* Aw, I miss everyone AGAIN!?! And I need this thing cured. And then he can go back home. *Mutters about Nixie not allowing Karn any more companions*

Puts down his trowel and wipes his brow. Freda gives him a thumbs-up from the top of what was once a door, now solidly bricked up.

The Moss is artifical and some how who ever created it managed to weave the bark from a rowan tree into the structure. So I can't deal with it
