Re: The Tea Room (Renovated)

*From the cupboard creeps the moss, tentatively at first, as if feeling the area, and then it begins pouring across the carpet, along the walls, blooming out from the pitch dark cupboard doorway. With it comes the encroaching smell, the ever growing smell of earth and damp and death, and a cold, cold breeze. As the moss grows, so does the darkness, filling corners, slipping between cracks, pushing away the light, the weakening, dying light*

Re: The Tea Room (Renovated)

*The moss and darkness continues growing, unmindful of any magic or Tea Room defenses trying to act against it. This is old moss, ancient moss, steeped in tradition, growing on loss and grief, on fear, of the unknown, of the intangible...of the dark...*

Re: The Tea Room (Renovated)

Uh oh. Looks like, possibly, that the ancient plant and earth elementals are starting to get riled again. Dryads especially are always so touchy.

Either that or it's an even more ancient force....I wonder if Nyx is getting angry over something....

Re: The Tea Room (Renovated)

*Moss continues to sweep and roil out of the cupboard. There's a scratching sound, and gleams of white can be seen buried within the green...as the moss shifts the shapes are pushed to the surface...bones, skulls, old, greyed, dull...*

*The light in the room is beginning to dim, consumed by the growing darkness*

Re: The Tea Room (Renovated)

Undead....moss....darkness....

Hm. I wonder if this would be a job for Pyan or Tabby?

"Karn? Shouldn't we be leaving?"

No. Go if you want to, but elementals don't fear darkness.

Re: The Tea Room (Renovated)

*As the darkness continues spreading around the room, things begin withering, growing old and grey -- chairs creak and age, plants turn yellow, red, brown, their leaves fall to the carpet, the mugs and cups crack and crumble*

*From the pure black of the cupboard doorway, a shrouded arm creeps out, clawing at the wall. Twisted horns and fiendish talons prod and poke*

*Cold wind sweeps out across the floor, carrying a whisper* Light dies, darkness grows......trick or treat...

Re: The Tea Room (Renovated)

[Oi! Patience! En't you ever heard of building atmosphere?!]

*The room continues to die, and the light loses its struggle against the dark. More shapes push and clamour at the cupboard doorway, stepping out into the puddled gloom*

Hehehe.

Still, this looks pretty cool. But I suppose I should take a look at the Bunker, if that moss infects it....

*enters the Tea Room*

Jeez, they coulda sent me a smarter...Holy mother of crap!

*sees the darkness spilling into the room via the cupboard, depositing bones of all shapes and sizes and all manner of undeathly things. He spies Sloweye's rotting note on the collapsing table...*
