Opens portal to mansion, if anyone comes looking you haven't seen me.

Seals portal to stop anything following.

Freda and Wally look on. Freda waves palps *Better go find white legs, I know she said no tell, but we've been in mansion*

*wanders in, sucking tea from her mug from a straw*

*abruptly trips over a lump in the carpet, splattering tea all over the controls of the mural*

*which promptly spark, fizzle and smoke*

Eesh. I have to stop doing that. Least this isn't causing the apocalypse this tim-

*mural has been flickering violently through various scenes before ending up on a pure black, empty, abyss-like void*

*and the edges of the mural begin melting outwards across the walls*

Besides, it's not doing too much damage *as the void spreads over the carpet and a chair topples in, spinning into the centre and getting squeezed into nothingness*

Ah, the void. No time, no space, no matter. Complete nothingness. Perhaps the greatest fear of all. Perhaps that's what started the universe, the violent will of matter to push the void away. Or maybe we're chasing it. Attracted by nothing.

*Glares at the growing absence of everything*

Wanders in behind Freda and sees the expanding void, "So much for a quiet weekend. Seen the remote, Freda ?"

Down back of couch.

"Yup, I should've known, inform my next-of kin." Pausing only to loop a dragline around himself, dives headfirst between the cushions.

*Is still staring at the void, eyes watering violently, tears streaming down gas mask*

*Void flickers* Hah! You blinked! Totally blinked! The Abyss gazed too long!

*Dances around the room as the void has an existential crisis, growling and groaning*

*Freda, you know how to open mansion*..... *No she locked good last time said too much trouble, hoped she had told white legs*

Emerges from between the couch cushions looking bedraggled but triumphant, and throwing a leather case to Wally.

"Just my luck, dead batteries. Hoopy ? Can you keep it busy while I dig out some fresh ones ?"

*Is still dancing*

Is all right, I think the Abyss has a lot on its mind right now.

*Void is pulsing slightly, apparently deep in thought.*

"Well Freda, we're stuck until I can track down some replacement parts. Rob should be fine, though."
