| Direwolf of the chrons | Re: The Tea Room (Renovated) My Kindle did that this morning - it went into update mode - but its wifi was switched off - yet it still insisted on updating and shutting down and turning back on again. All without asking first!! I hate computers that try to be smart - tis confusings! That said I'm not sure who or what my kindle was talking too - probably reporting to Amazon that I'd got books from the copyright free websites (the legal ones of course!) and that I was probably some kinda super web criminal to be targeted! |

| Flaming Poltergeist | Re: The Tea Room (Renovated) Haha, yeah, Amazon agents are probably moving into position around your house as we speak. If you suddenly disappear, I'll know what's happened. I'll make a campaign and raise the bail money on your behalf, we won't let you suffer in prison! If I can be bothered to go such efforts, that is... |

Only - raising money - paying the bail and stuff sound so - so - so common in response. I mean I might not be a anything too special but, I mean at least you could steam a troop of performing sheep from the local circus to help enact a daring raid upon the local enforcement establishment in a mad bid for freedom before helping me across international boarders. |

| Re: The Tea Room (Renovated) Staggers in and slumps into the Ugly Chair, he'll brew up in a minute, "Some days just defy description. I went to pick up my papers this morning and one title hadn't been delivered - the, 'Sunday Post.' What a shambles ! Hi Hoopy, OR." |

| Re: The Tea Room (Renovated) Put it this way, I deliver 32 papers on a Sunday morning - 15 are either the Post or the Post and.... ![]() Then a couple of the kids didn't show up and I couldn't get away fast enough... I finished my round at 10am. Please tell me you're both having a better day. |

| Flaming Poltergeist | Re: The Tea Room (Renovated) I remember when I used to work in a newsagents and one of the papers didn't turn up and so didn't get delivered. The amount of angry phone calls! And trying to make them realise that the fault wasn't ours, but further down the line. Listening to The Smiths and trying to write now. A combination that could be awesome...or put me into a complete depression |

| Direwolf of the chrons | Re: The Tea Room (Renovated) Well I restarted reading Malazan at sillyOclock and now I think I'm regretting the lack of sleep - that and finding a new archive of ebooks with covers.... sooo I can't really complain save for the fact that I don't think I'll be moving far from the doorstep any time soon |

| Re: The Tea Room (Renovated) Exactly, Hoopy. The trouble is that the, 'Sunday post,' is an institution in Scotland - riots have started over less than missing, 'Oor Wullie,' and, 'The Broons,' over breakfast (the Post as given extra paper to make sure it kept going during WW2, due to its contribution to morale). |
