Exclamation Introduction

Hello

I am a actually a musician and a writer. I am trying to finally write a novel that I have been wanting to write for about 10 years. I finally actually started to re-write this story, and so far it is better than what I orginally thought of, although I am staying to my orginal idea. It is Sci-Fi and dealing with the Universe.

Re: Introduction

Hello and Welcome to the Chrons. We're always happy, nay eager, to see new budding authors here. There's plenty to discover in the whole Aspiring Writers forum, but while you're finding your feet, why don't you write a short story? All we want is 75 words (and no more) on the theme of the Seven Deadly Sins and in the SFF genre -- nice and easy. Here's the link to it http://www.sffchronicles.co.uk/forum...irst-post.html and here's where we talk about it before, during and afterwards http://www.sffchronicles.co.uk/forum...ember-143.html (don't worry about it being incomprehensible, half of us never know what the other half is wittering on about...)

Shortly you will be cross-examined as to your musical and literary preferences, so start making your lists. But make sure you get that story written first!

Hello and welcome Binary (what else can I call you 168 maybe?). Is there any significance to the precise value of your user name?

Four times forty-two, perhaps? In which case the trip to the challenge (yes, I have noticed you passed. You're on my spread sheet.)

So (not to be quite as predictable as that) Where in Deutschland do you hail from? I fear my German is not adequate to welcome you in the style to which you will soon become accustomed. And on what musical instrument(s) do you perform? Live performance or studio?

And does music feature in your stories? It is so rare to find it in a prominent rôle in SF, despite it being one of humanities widest distributed activities.

Welcome in, by the way; you are about to discover that musicians are not the only beings on the planet who can do "strange", and make it stick. You will spend to much time here – can you rehearse, or at least do scales, in front of the computer? Otherwise your chops are going to suffer.

Hard SF or soft?

Maybe it's his age and he doesn't want anyone else to know.

Re: Introduction

Hello there, Kasper.

You could start your own thread, you know. That way, more people notice you're new, and come to say hi, and welcome you. As it is, there is a tendency to mutter "Been there, welcomed that, got the T-shirt" and wander off to somethread they've been building up for ages.

So, reader, writer, player, listener, illustrator, beggarman, thief? If writer, please note the seventy-five word challenge (in workshops in aspiring writers) where every month the winner of the previous month's challenge chooses a subject on which each of the competitors must construct a story in (you've guessed it) seventy-five words. We've just finished a vote, and wait with bated breath the new subject from Hoopy Frood.

Otherwise, welcome in. Do I have any problems with you? If so, possibly the forum… no, I'm being silly. It can happen here from time to time, you'll notice; not everyone is one hundred percent serious all the time…

And that's serious.

Re: Introduction

Hi and welcome 10101000 you name reminds me of the old saying
There are 10 types of people in the world
Those that understand binary,
And those that don't.
