| Hello :) Hello, my name is Ilayne (which I hate..) and I am eighteen years old. I am half-Greek (which explains my name) but have lived in England since I was born. Classics, English, Art and Politics are the subjects I study at college. I have always had a passion for fantasy and fantastical beings, starting with an early interest in ancient mythology when I was a young girl. I love formulating characters in my mind and creating wonderful story-lines for them. I am a dreamer and an optimist and I guess that is all I have to say about myself for now . The site looks amazing and I hope to learn all I can from it whilst contributing just a little myself .xxxxxxx |

| Truth. Order. Moderation. | Re: Hello :) Hello, Ilayne and a formal Welcome to the Chronicles! I think Ilayne is a gorgeous name -- and one I now intend to appropriate for a heroine in a fantasy novel (hands off everyone else -- I saw it first!). I don't envy you the politics, but English, art and the classics are all great things to be studying. And dreamers and optimists are just the kind of people we need in Chrons, especially in Aspiring Writers. So we're glad you've found your way here. Have a good mooch round and make yourself at home. If you have any questions, just ask. If you're lucky you might even get an intelligible, intelligent answer! |

| Re: Hello :) Hi Raina, and a hearty welcome. I had a character in a script called Elaine, and now I wished I'd spelt it Ilayne - so much more exotic, interesting, intriguing - maybe I would hav even sold the script! Have a great time here, I'm sure you will. |

| Re: Hello :) Haha, its an OK name I suppose - although it didn't stop me being taunted at school about it in my earlier years! Everybody seems welcoming and sweet on here so I'm very happy haha ! |

| resident pedantissimo | Re: Hello :) A little youself? Now that's an interesting idea. Perhaps I could leave a little myself on here while the full size me (horizontally, at least) escaped through the entrance door when some new unfortunate is ensnared. What's that? Intelligent, intelligible, informed, perm any two out of three? Welcome in. You might find the amazement wears off after a while. Or perhaps not, but anyway, you've taken the step of no return, lost to reality forever, unless your homonculus trick works. Not that reality is any great loss -- well, not to anyone who has the possibility of getting addicted to this place, anyway. But sweet? |

| Re: Hello :) I too, like the name Ilayne. If Ilyn Payne had a daughter...but who would want HIM for a father! ![]() I hated my name too, when I was a kid. Grew to like it as a teenager, and now I am quite thankful that my parents named me as they did. At the age of 10 though, I would have really liked to have the name "Dave" or "Mike" or some such. Welcome to the Chrons. |
