| Hey everyone! I just joined and am definitely feeling welcome already. :] Just thought I'd say hi and introduce myself to everyone. I've posted a few times already but I sorta felt like I just butted in, so I decided to post here to say hi. Well then. Hi. |

| resident pedantissimo | Re: Feeling Welcome Already So you don't need me to welcome you, then? ET? Phone home? Not that anyone would have got in the least upset if you'd gone on posting without coming here to explain you existed. We'd have guessed. We're good, like that. But it's nice to have your own thread, where I can say "There's more to the site than the Robert Jordan subforum. Have you been reading the ultrashorts in http://www.sffchronicles.co.uk/forum...irst-post.html ? Not that you're being pressured to write one of your own, or at least only a couple of atmospheres' pressure… Or July 2010 Photo Challenge for pretty pictures. And you're not used to the 'word economic' environment, coming from Jordan (starts humming "Swing home, sweet chariot", "I looked over Jordan, and what did I see, coming for to carry me home?", then shuts up, embarrassed), no. Jack's son has his gout. OK, welcome in, anyway, even if you'd already felt it. Enjoy. |

| Causa Scientiae | Re: Feeling Welcome Already Whereas my toaster enrages me, on a regular basis. Weclome to the Chrons, Enraged Toaster! (I would normally abbreviate your username, but in this instance I think it's so awesome that I can't bring myself to shorten it....)I can't help but think of Talkie Toaster, from Red Dwarf, now. "Would you like some toast? A crumpet, perhaps? Toasted teacake?" I second Chris's recommendation to check out the challenges, by the way. Even if you don't feel like entering either, we'd love to know which are your favourites each month, and would be ever so grateful if you voted. I shan't grovel any more, though. Toasters should be left to make free choices, after all. (Although, I wish mine would stop choosing either to singe or undercook my bread.... :S) |
