| Re: Don't taze my Granny I would imagine their argument would be simple: "The officers found a patient, off her meds, wielding a knife. Training and official policy dictates warnings then a tazer. Officers are not instructed to manually disarm suspects as this leads to high risk of injury." |

| Re: Don't taze my Granny It reminds me of another, 'Helpless old lady,' who attempted to drive off, attacked the officer, gave him dog's abuse and ignored three warnings before being tazed. There are faults on both sides, but some people won't accept that the law applies to them too. In the car park, I saw many helpless old ladies and disabled drivers using it for blackmail. |

| Re: Don't taze my Granny Assuming the officers line is true, 'the woman was threatening to overdose and they used the Taser because she pulled a knife on the officers' I wonder how the media would have reacted if the police had said 'Fine carry on then' and left her? Situations like this maust be very difficult to call. |
