Could be worse - he could be GRRM...

There's a short story in Side Jobs set between Changes and Ghost Story, but it doesn't really make the wait any less frustrating.

The only thing I really know about Ghost Story so far is that Harry has to solve his own murder.

I will be fine as long as it is released before July Once I know the real date I can start re-reading the series again (well at least 2 weeks before the publication date )

Amazon has 26 July 2011 as the publication date.

and, according to Jim's twitter update from last night, he's working on chapter 34. I've no idea how many chapters there will be in total, but probably around 40 or so.

I finished Side Jobs a little while ago (of course I read the last story first as it happens just after the end of Changes). Good book.

Ghost are impressions of a person before they died in the Dresden world, correct?
So how can he solve his own murder?

Except, Harry ordered Mouse to take care of Maggie. And he asked Murphy to make sure Maggie was taken far away from him. So unless Mouse and Maggie return to Chicago, or Harry finds his way to Maggie, it's more likely Harry will encounter Mister first.

Also, there are lots of M names in The Dresden Files.

I just found a thread on Jim Butcher's forum which lead me to this: Ghost Story - Jim Butcher - Penguin Extras - Penguin Group (USA) - a sneek peek at Ghost Story. Chapter one has been released as a teaser, and I must say I'm looking forward to reading more.

Remember that Harry is also the Winter Knight, which changes a LOT with regard to life and death and ghost-y-ness.

Also, you're assuming Harry is the ghost being referred to in the title. And he very well could be, but he doesn't have to be.

Didn't help the summer knight or previous winter knight....his life was extremely painful...
