IE Mordor 1-1 Gondor (Mordor) in this event you would get 4 if they draw at 1-1 and Mordor win 3 if they draw 1-1 and Gondor win 1 if the Mordor wins in any other way and 0 if Gondor win in any other way. Anyway doesnt matter cause the rules say you get 4 points

I expect the Netherlands to beat Uruguay, of course... but it's far from certain. The loss of Suárez and Fucile will weaken Uruguay at both front and back, but a bigger loss could be that of the captain, Lugano, if he doesn't recover in time (I don't know how bad his injury is). But the Dutch will also be missing players -- Van der Wiel and Mathijsen from their defence, as well as defensive midfielder De Jong. The question is, will Uruguay get enough of the ball, and be incisive enough with it to cause the makeshift Dutch back line problems, in the absence of their most prolific striker? Between Cavani, Abreu and Forlán, they should still have the weapons to do so. But will their own patched-up defense stand up to the likes of Sneijder, Robben and Van Persie? I can't wait to find out. I'm not posting my prediction for that just yet, however. As for today's burning question -- I hope the answer is 'Buenos Aires 1978', because (as I'm sure you all know by the number of times I've mentioned it ) I love watching Argentina. And I'm still hoping to see Messi hit the back of the net at least a couple of times before the tournament is done (although, that could happen today, and Argentina still lose, if some of your predictions are correct).I'm really looking forward to this afternoon's game.

| Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp Still going for my team Argentine to win the comp.....should be a really good game, tonight my time..... ![]() I think the likely teams to win the WC may include Argentina, Spain and Holland with Uruguay and Germany the less likely winners. Would be nice to see Holland or Spain win, a breath of fresh air. |

| Causa Scientiae | Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp Gollum -- I agree that the three sides you mentioned have to be considered the favourites of the six remaining teams (with Spain, on paper, being the strongest). Wy -- LOL! Yes and no. He scuffed his shot, and it trundled along the grass, but the 'keeper went the wrong way. It hit one post, rolled along the line, and Frodo ran in, tripped over the prone goalie and hit the ball with his backside, pushing it over the line. ![]() (Or maybe Gollum was playing centre half, and scored an o.g. off the rebound. That makes more sense. ) |

| Causa Scientiae | Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp Wow. I don't even want to think about what that means the England team would have to do if they want to win another World Cup. :S (I say England, because I don't think even that could help Scotland. No amount of cat poo will change the fact that we're, well, uh... cat poo.) |
