Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp

I'm so screwed. Glad we split it in two so at least I can lay claim to half a championship!

Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp

Well, you keep saying that, and I'll keep saying I'm never gonna catch you. One of us will be proved wrong in the end, but I've no idea which one.

Maybe we'll both bomb, and Ursa or Gollum will overtake us both.

Well done Seph. I think it will be between you and Cul now as to who gets the Gold. Me and the Bear have other Salmon to poach...

If I end up with having achieved third place overall and second place in the initial round robin stage I'll be happy with that....

Of course, the fact you also double up as the head of FIFA must be handy when it comes to "rigging"....OH sorry I mean "tipping" these matches....

A bit early, maybe, but my memory's not what it was, so:

Netherlands 2-3 Brazil

Uruguay 2-1 Ghana

I know what you mean.

That's really the preserve of England's defence.

The early bird catches the worm.

That said, the second mouse gets the cheese.

Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp

So what happens to the one who comes third then?....

And you can't say he/she gets to "drown in their own Drool"...I've already patented it....

Third place pays the prize money for first and second.

Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp

Dream on mate!.....

OK, kicking off the quarter finals then....this is pretty tough to predict actually.

No penalty shootouts being predicted by me here....

Friday
Brazil 2 - Netherlands 1
Uruguay 2 - Ghana 1

Saturday
Argentina 2 - Germany 1
Spain 2 - Paraguay 1

I'm happy with the teams selected, just the margins that are very hard to gauge.......

Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp

I think now would be excellent. I'm starving.

These are indeed hard games to predict. I'm not quite ready to finalise my predictions, yet, but I'll have them in before I go to bed tonight. I will be picking the same winners as you, as it happens. But I'm not sure about the scorelines, yet.

Re: FIFA WC Tipping comp

As far as I'm concerned it's the scorelines that are going to be a bit of a hit and miss affair.

Would you like an extra serve of onions with your Burger then Sir?....

Good night and all the best with your tips....

Ja, bitte. Mit zusätzlich Zwiebeln, aber kein Sauerkraut.

Night, then! And cheers. Same to you.
