Weeel.... some went for a draw in the Argentina vs. Korea game, but most went for a 2 - 0 or 2 - 1 result to the blue and white. Argentina played quite well....winning 4 - 1.

Argentina was my selection as winner of the World Cup. I've always been enamoured by Argentine football; not sure why entirely. That was way before I knew of their literary prowess, with some of my favourite writers inlcuding Borges, Casares and Cortazar hailing from that neck of the woods.

I went for 3-1, which it was with 10 mins to go.

I'm demanding all 4 points for the Greece-Nigeria game, because someone has obviously cast a spell on Kaita for him to behave like that.

(And on Greece, for that matter. Why else would they have started attacking? It's not like them at all.)

World Cup bursting into life. Korea probably didn't deserve the scoreline, but they set out to play timidly when they should have attacked and paid the price. Totally lost their discipline after conceding the 3rd (which should have been offside).

Greece just scored their second. Another poor night of points for me.

Is it just me or do some of the Greeks actually look fast today? Hermes must have delivered a special shipment of his winged sandals after the game against S. Korea.

Well, it looks like wisdom is the key here - only Py and Cul called the upset against France.

What a terrible day it has been for most of us.

Damn. I had a nasty feeling it was going to come down to that.

Oh, well. Another solitary point for me today...

I did think France would at least score, though...

Todays ladder, not a whole lot of change from yesterday, though Cul has managed to gain an extra point on his lead and einlanzer after only 4 days has managed to jump to the middle of the pack.

Yes, but unlike Cul, I keep getting the rest wrong...

Dang. 0 points. Woe is me! Should have gone with my gut instinct and predicted a Mexico win. Should have known France under Domenech would continue to be woeful.
