When I said avoid the obvious, I was thinking mostly of Winterfell, Casterly Rock, Pyke, Riverrun, The Twins and The Eyrie, since they have played such a large role in the books that we can't help but know them. You certainly did that - there are places in that list I can't even remember reading about!

Oh, and looking back at my list... I saw a mistake... there is no House Ulmer, I should have typed House Uller. I think Ulmer was a man of the NW. And I also looked up the locations of Houses Dalt and Westerling, the two that I put question marks after... and Dalt was correct, but House Westerling's home is The Crag, not The Cliffs. Oops.
