Problem solved. Removed the duplicate thread and moved this one to the more general Aspiring Writers....

So I took two shots and missed both?

I just love these writing contests - you get stuck with whatever contract they want to give you. And do the books ever do well? Has anybody heard of the previous winners, for instance?

Wouldn't they have passed the 5,000 entries mark by 26th January (at the very latest)?

I've heard this is sort of a POD ploy by Amazon and past winners haven't really gone anywhere with their novel other than getting an ISBN.
