Twitter user arrested

Twitter user arrested over joke airport bomb threat | World news | guardian.co.uk
Be careful what you tweet you never know who is going to read it. I bet he would love to know who rang the police after reading his tweet, or maybe nobody contacted the police maybe his tweet just set an alarm off on a computer somewhere, who knows? I guess the moral of this story is you do not joke about airport security in this day and age.

Re: Twitter user arrested

Oh no, airport security is taken VERY seriously! Try walking around an airport with a camera, or asking to see the planes take off! I applied for a job in our local airport once and not only was a police check done on me but also I got told off for watching the planes land! And this was a few years ago-probably a lot worse now!

Re: Twitter user arrested

Perhaps he should have threatened to kidnap Maid Marian (or force her to marry him). Surely even the dimmest PC wouldn't arrest someone for tweeting that.

(Or he could have threatened to give the airport to the poor.)

Re: Twitter user arrested

Last I heard, the plane spotters and train spotters were being roped in (i.e. given guidance/training material) to help spot terrorists...

Re: Twitter user arrested

I never knew terrorists carried identifying marks and, more importantly, numbers on them.
