Dragon Orb Flies!!

It was a dark and stormy day... and I'm waiting to get a train to Twickenham. I've got time to kill so I wander down to the paper shop and eventually settle on the Independent as it has the least amount of supplements. I skim the news, check the teams and so on.

My train arrives and I get on (Yeah, okay, I could have shortened this enormously, but, hey, I'm a storyteller. Or trying to be...) A tree falls across the line, the train is held at the station and then eventually backed down the line and went round the fast loop, I have so much time that I start reading the supplements and hit an article entitled (in full page) 50 BEST WINTER READS.

I turn the page, and one illustration of the front cover leaps out at me: Dragon Orb: Aurora. The blurb reads:

"Mark Robson is a former fighter pilot turned writer. In this tale, suitable for readers aged 9 and above, he employs his experiences of daredevil flying antics to create some awesome aerial dragon batles. This is inventive and beautifully executed."

Way to go, Mark!!! He's in some pretty awesome company, and they obviously think highly enough of him to include him in this section. Its at
www.independentbooksdirect.co.uk and the 50 best winter reads is on the left, he's about number 24, but the website doesn't contain the great graphics that was reproduced in the paper.

But brilliant work to get here, Mark. Well done you!

Ps: we got to Twickenham just in time to see England Rugby team play appallingly, and scrape past Argentina

Re: Dragon Orb Flies!!

Hadn't noticed this post. Thanks, Boneman. I was delighted to see Aurora on the list and have been really pleased to see so many positive comments about the series in general. Let's hope lots more people now go out and get copies for Christmas!
