Movember is a great event. I have done it a couple of times, there was even a pic of me with my big hairy mo on 'post your pic' but it seems to have disappeared. Movember raises huge amounts of money for men's health (e.g. research into prostate cancer) and for depression support services. It's kinda like Pink Ribbon day for men's issues.

From my experience, rather than asking for cash donations, hit your family, friends, colleagues and cellmates for pledges and tell them they can pay by credit card. Once they know this they become alot more generous. My first year I raised about AUD$60.00, the second time around about $300.00 (still only worth about 70p).

Unfortunately I'm working in a pretty humourless environment these days so I haven't gotten involved this year. Maybe next year we can get together a Chronicles team.

I would but I lack the ability of growing much more than a few stray hairs on my face, not that I'm complaining, it means I don't have to shave too often.
