Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

Perhaps Alex is saying he's not Evil, thus I am not his Overlord.

Perhaps Alex is saying, "You're not the boss of me!".

Perhaps Alex is.

You can Overlord it over anything you want, David. Just not me.

I suffer not Overlords gladly.

Oh, no, gosh no... cringes at the very thought. (he could have used a fig leaf, though.)

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

I can do brevity. However, only yesterday I was thinking to myself - given that humans lack telepathy, they can only think to themselves, surely (but by pointing this out, I don't want to be thought to be supporting, in any way, or even implying that I might be supporting (also in any way), the behaviour of Word's Spelling and Grammar Checker (which doesn't really deserve those capital letters, really, given how pathetic it is at its claimed job) in its quest (or is it a task? who knows? I don't) to banish a certain, and perfectly justifiable use of reflexive pronouns from the English language) - that while my longer sentences (with or without passages between braces - are they called that over the Pond? - or dashes) may seem complicated, they are, in my mind at least, easy to parse (although I expect some readers give them a pass).

Re: Last Post in This Thread Wins!

And I didn't even use any buzz words....

(But I have noticed a missing comma, although it would probably be more accurate to say that I noticed its absence <most of three paragraphs removed> but as I was saying to the aunt of that woman down the road who prefers to wear <most of four paragraphs removed> which was why he had a bucket on his head and odd shoes, one brown and one black. Where was I...?)
